Biography
Councillor Jason Fazackarley was elected to the council and Nelson ward in 1995. He was the Chair of the Crime Prevention & Public Safety Committee from 1996 to 2000, Chair of the Environment Committee in 2000/2001 and a portfolio holder for Public Safety in 2002/2003.
Outside of his work as a councillor, he is a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, an honorary life member and actor of Southsea Shakespeare Actors, a member of the Southern Skirmish Association, a Freemason and a goalkeeper in the Hampshire 5-a-side Football League.
During 2004/05, Cllr Fazackarley was the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth.
