Library and Archive Service Charges 2025 pdf icon PDF 158 KB

Purpose

To review the charges levied by Portsmouth Library and Archive Service in respect of room and equipment hire; charges for Inter-Library Loans and Music Set hire and specialist services provided by the Portsmouth History Centre.

 

RECOMMENDED

That the proposals provided in Appendix 1 for the increases in room and equipment hire charges for the Menuhin Theatre on the Third Floor Central Library; hire of IT Training Suites at Carnegie, Cosham and Central Libraries and increases to Inter-Library Loan, Music Set and Portsmouth History Centre charges are agreed and implemented from 1 April 2025. The increases have been proposed to ensure the full cost recovery of service delivery.

Museum Admission Charges increases pdf icon PDF 124 KB

Purpose

To update Members on increases in Museums Service admission fees and charges.

 

RECOMMENDED

(1) To approve the admission charges as referred to in this report and as listed in Appendix 1.

(2) That the Director of Culture, Leisure and Regulatory Services is given the authority to offer pricing in line with these fees and charges for bespoke requests.

Museums Strategy 2025-2030 pdf icon PDF 159 KB

Purpose

To share the draft Museums Strategy 2025-2030 with the Cabinet Member for Culture, Regeneration and Economic Development. The Strategy is attached at Appendix 1.

 

RECOMMENDED

(1)  That the achievements of the museum service over the past 5 years are noted.

(2)  That the draft Museum Strategy, Vision, We Are statements, and five key priorities are approved to be included in the accreditation return and form the basis for the more detailed forward plan.

(3)  That it is approved for the Museum Strategy along with an annual impact report to be created into an accessibly designed document that is fit for public consultation and published in April 2025.

Purpose

To seek approval for the proposed funding levels for the Revenue Grant payments to cultural organisations for the financial year 2025/26.

 

RECOMMENDED that the Revenue Grant payments as outlined are agreed for the financial year 2025/26.
