Element 3 Top-up funding 2022-23 PDF 1 MB Purpose The purpose of this report is to inform the Cabinet Member of proposed changes to the 2022-23 Element 3 Top-up values at:
· The Flying Bull Academy Alternative Provision · Redwood Park Academy.
RECOMMENDED that Cabinet Member approves: 1. The proposal to increase the Element 3 top-up value at The Flying Bull Academy Inclusion Centre from 1 January 2023 as set out in section 4. 2. The corrected Redwood Park Academy Element 3 Top-up values as set out in Appendix C.
Minutes: The report was introduced by Mike Stoneman, Deputy Director, Education, who informed members that officers had worked very closely with the Chichester Multi-Academy Trust as part of a good partnership. Officers have been following through with detailed work with schools and are looking forward to future expansion which is badly needed in the city.
Councillor Horton acknowledged the constant challenge regarding the balance between supporting mainstream education and the commitment to inclusion as well as specialist provision. The proposals have been through considerable scrutiny and are a positive outcome.
