Purpose of report

                 

This report sets out the outcome of the statutory consultation which is being undertaken between 19th September 2017 and 16th October 2017 on the proposal to change the age range of Cottage Grove Primary.

                       

 

RECOMMENDED

 

It is recommended that the Cabinet Member:

·         Consider the response to the statutory consultation carried out on the proposal to change the age range of Cottage Grove Primary School.

·         Approve the proposal to change the age range of Cottage Grove Primary School.

·         Authorise the Director for Children’s Services to implement the proposal so that Cottage Grove Primary school becomes a school for pupils aged 2 to 11 years of age from 1st November 2017.

The report was introduced by Caroline Corcoran, Head of Sufficiency, Participation and Resources who advised that no responses to the consultation had been received.

 

The Cabinet Member said in light of this she was happy to proceed with implementing the proposal.  Councillor Horton as opposition spokesperson had no questions and said she supported the proposal.

 

DECISION: the Cabinet Member:

(1)  Considered the response to the statutory consultation carried out on the proposal to change the age range of Cottage Grove Primary School.

(2)  Approved the proposal to change the age range of Cottage Grove Primary School.
