RECOMMENDED that the following motion be adopted:

"Under the provisions of Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972 as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, the press and public be excluded for the consideration of the following item on the grounds that the report contains information defined as exempt in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972."

The Sub Committee is asked to consider the exempt report produced by the Licensing Manager.

The Licensing Officer introduced the exempt report and answered questions.

The Driver Mr M made his representation and answered questions.

All parties were given the opportunity to sum up with the simplified hearing procedure being followed.

RESOLVED that the Private Hire Driver licence be revoked with immediate effect.

(The driver was advised of his rights of appeal and would receive a full copy of the detailed decision notice.)
