Councillor Stuart Potter had sent his apologies for absence due to work commitments and Councillor Lynne Stagg apologised for her late attendance as she was present following the conclusion of this short meeting.

Tertiary Highways Network Investment Policy and Programme 2017 - 2019 pdf icon PDF 263 KB

The report by the Assistant Director of Contracts, Procurement and Commercial is for the Cabinet Member for Traffic & Transportation to consider and approve the recommended Asset Management Strategy for Investment in the Council's Tertiary Network.  Also to note the three year investment programme as a result of the selection policy.

 

RECOMMENDED:

(1)          That the Strategy, Vision and Methodology for Tertiary Highways Network Scheme selection and treatment is approved.

 

(2)          That the proposed three year Tertiary Network Investment Programme is noted.

Minutes:

Councillor Fleming reported that he and the opposition spokespersons had received an extensive presentation of the information contained within the report at the briefing meeting so it was unnecessary for Greg Povey to make a full presentation.  Greg Povey, Assistant Director of Contracts, Procurement and Commercial, confirmed that there had been no material changes to the report or appendices since the briefing.  Councillor Fleming welcomed the report which represented a move towards a more structured approach of works, which were targeted where there were most needed.  Councillor Fleming was grateful to Greg Povey and all the officers involved for the work undertaken on this.
