Monuments and Memorials Update PDF 108 KB Purpose of report
To provide the Cabinet member with an update on Portsmouth City Council's management of the monuments and memorials within its care.
RECOMMENDED
(1) That the authority's current provision for caring for the monuments and memorials in its ownership is noted.
(2) That the steps outlined in this report are approved.

Members had no questions.
Councillor Hunt said it was important to note that Portsmouth has a fantastic literary heritage and the city has a lot to offer. Monuments and memorials reflect that and the council are continually looking to improve and enhance them; an example being the work taking place currently in Victoria Park.
DECISIONS
(1) Noted the authority's current provision for caring for the monuments and memorials in its ownership.
(2) Approved the steps outlined in the report.
