RECOMMENDED that the Health and Wellbeing Board

1.    Endorse the refreshed Health and Care Portsmouth;

2.    Agree that delegated authority be given to the Director of Public Health to make minor changes to the draft document prior to publication.

To provide an update on how Portsmouth City Council and partners are supporting our young people to succeed and information on how partners can support this work.

Preventing Violent Extremism Strategy pdf icon PDF 104 KB

To update the Health and Wellbeing Board on the local authority's plans to meet the Prevent statutory duty.

 

RECOMMENDED that the Health and Wellbeing Board endorse the local authority's plans to meet its statutory obligations under Section 26 of the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015.

 

10.

Evaluation of Suicide Bereavement Support Services pdf icon PDF 150 KB

To highlight Portsmouth-based findings from a 2-year retrospective evaluation of Suicide Bereavement Support Services (SBSS), which is relevant to the mental health and wellbeing ambitions laid out by the Portsmouth Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2022-30.

 

RECOMMENDED that the Health and Wellbeing Board

1.    Note the impact of this new service in the city to support those bereaved by suicide.

2.    Consider opportunities for this service to further complement the positive mental health and wellbeing priority, and Portsmouth's Suicide Prevention Action Plan 2022-2025 for the city.

3.    Consider examples or approaches which members of the Health and Wellbeing Board can contribute in their efforts to promote uptake of the Suicide Bereavement Support Service amongst local residents.
