HMI Probation Portsmouth Youth Offending Team inspection report PDF 2 MB Following the panel's review earlier this year into progress against the Portsmouth Youth Offending Team Improvement Plan, an inspection by the HMIP was carried out. The report published in August, is attached to the agenda for a brief discussion by the panel and Jon Gardner and Stephen Kitchman will attend to answer any questions the panel have. |

New review topic regarding home to school transport and access to primary school places - discussion of the scope of the review The Scrutiny Management Panel on 31 July asked that the ECYP Scrutiny Panel undertake a review:
'To look at developing proposals around home to school transport especially where children have been unsuccessful in being allocated a place at their first choice school and to consider the more general issues relating to access to primary school places and the distance away from their home.'
Members of the panel are asked to discuss the scope of this review and possible witnesses to be asked to contribute to it. Officers will be in attendance to provide advice to the panel. |

Frequency, timing and format of ECYP Scrutiny Meetings The panel has previously met at 7pm on a monthly basis during the review periods. As there are new members on the panel is it proposed that this be revisited to ensure that meetings are held at a time suitable for the majority of panel members.
