Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Annual Statement pdf icon PDF 153 KB

Purpose

To provide context to the council's Modern Slavery Transparency Statement, update progress against the 2023/24 improvement plan, and to seek approval to publish the statement (appendix 1) on the council's website as required by the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

 

RECOMMENDED that the Cabinet approves

1.    The Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the signature of the Leader and publication on the council's website (see appendix 1) and

2.    The programme of work set out in item 11 of this report.

3.    That Full Council be asked to note the decision of the cabinet to approve and publish the statement.

To set out the requirement for Portsmouth City Council to submit a productivity plan to government and present a plan for approval.

2.    Approve the proposed plan, subject to any requested amendments

3.    Delegate authority for finalising and submitting the plan to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader.
