Members' Comments

Councillor Suzy Horton commented that it was important to understand the enormity of the work behind supporting children in our care.  Councillor Tom Coles agreed.  The Cabinet Member went on to note that having spoken to many foster carers over the years she was aware of all the different opportunities there were to change the lives of young people and that the old perception that fostering meant looking after babies had changed.  The report reflected the breadth and depth of the work in this area, she was particularly delighted to note the continued success of the Mockingbird project, and she welcomed launch of the Hub.  Councillor Suzy Horton offered her thanks to the foster carers who come along to events and take part in promoting the service to future foster carers.

The Cabinet Member noted the information report.
