Purpose of Report

The purpose of this information only report is to provide an insight into the social value created by the South East Hampshire Rapid Transit (SEHRT) programme carried out by Alun Griffiths Contractors (AGC).

Jason Ellam-Brown, Principal Construction Manager, presented the information only report, on behalf of Richard Lock from Procurement. Members' Comments

Members noted the predicted 20% growth in bus passenger numbers, as stated in point 3.3, may be negatively affected by the impact of the increase in the £2 bus fare to £3 as set out in the Government budget.  They noted the external influencing factors which would design out transport such as at the Tipner development.

Members were pleased to see the report and noted the positive added value outcomes noting this should be incorporated into a lot of the redevelopment and capital programmes across the city.
