Purpose
To update the Cabinet Member on the success of digital services in
Portsmouth Libraries and the impact of outreach activity on the number of
downloads.

(TAKE IN INFORMATION REPORT)
The report was introduced by Mark Zumpe, Information and Stock Librarian. He explained that the project is ongoing and they have seen a 35% increase in digital usage over the last 18 months which is well over target. Feedback from the public has been very positive. The future challenge will be to keep up with demand particularly with e-books as usage has increased.
Councillor Steve Pitt added that there are now Marvel comics available as part of the digital offer.
The Cabinet Member thanked officers for all their work on this.
