Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 and/or Town Police Clauses Act 1847 - Consideration of Private Hire Driver Licence - Mr S

An exempt report has been circulated to the members of the Sub-committee only.

 

RECOMMENDED that the Sub-Committee determine the matter.

Minutes:

Mr S was in attendance and the simplified hearing procedure was followed.

 

RESOLVED that the Committee considered that a written warning would be a proportionate sanction with an addition of three penalty points being endorsed with Portsmouth City Council such points to remain upon the licence until the next renewal.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 and/or Town Police Clauses Act 1847 - Application for Private Hire Driver Licence - Mr K

An exempt report has been circulated to the members of the Sub-Committee only.

 

RECOMMENDED that the Sub-Committee determine the matter.

Minutes:

Mr K was in attendance and the simplified hearing procedure was followed.

 

RESOLVED that the Committee agreed it would be appropriate to allow Mr K's application to proceed on the basis and condition that he submit at his own expense to four random drug tests to be conducted by the Licensing Authority over the next 12 months from todays date.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 and/or Town Police Clauses Act 1847 - Consideration of Private Hire Driver Licence - Mr B

An exempt report has been circulated to the members of the Sub-Committee only.

 

RECOMMENDED that the Sub-Committee determine the matter.

Minutes:

Mr B was in attendance and the simplified hearing procedure was followed.

 

RESOLVED that the Committee considered that a written warning with respect to the current licence would be a proportionate sanction, along with 3 points via Portsmouth City Council and also to produce to the Licensing Authority a medical report confirming;

A)   The effect of the current medical treatment on his ability to drive.

B)   Any side effects as to long term B12 injections.

Such report to be produced within the next 8 weeks.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 and/or Town Police Clauses Act 1847 - Consideration of Private Hire Driver Licence - Mr T

An exempt report has been circulated to the members of the Sub-Committee only.

 

RECOMMEDNED that the Sub-Committee determine the matter.

Minutes:

Mr T was in attendance and the simplified hearing procedure was followed.

 

RESOLVED that the Committee were aware that Mr T's licence expires today. In the circumstances this Committee would not sanction renewal at any time before 15 April 2017 and upon Mr T having attended and passed a course with the Blue Lamp Trust.
