The purpose of this item is to facilitate appointments to outside bodies for the 2013/14 municipal year.

The scheme of delegation to individual cabinet members includes authority to make appointments to outside bodies falling within that member's portfolio. This authority has to be exercised in accordance with a political proportional protocol.

RECOMMENDED that the cabinet member make appointments to the outside bodies as per the attached schedule.

The following appointments were made:

·         Hampshire Buildings Preservation Trust - Councillor Frank Jonas

·         PATCH Ltd - Councillors Rob Wood, Sandra Stockdale and Les Stevens were appointed (as ward councillors)

·         Paulsgrove Enterprise Centre Board - Kathy Wadsworth, Strategic Director (and the manager of the centre ex-officio)

·         Solent Forum - Councillor Phil Smith

·         Tourism South East - Councillors Hugh Mason and Lee Hunt

·         West of Waterlooville Forum - Councillor Simon Bosher and Kathy Wadsworth, Strategic Director

·         Portsmouth and South East Chamber of Commerce (nominations are not required in 2013 so Alan Cufley/Barry Walker to continue to attend)

·         Minerals and Waste Development Framework Members' Steering Group - (nominations are not required in 2013 so Councillor Eleanor Scott to continue to represent the cabinet member for PRED.
