Minutes:

Members of the panel had received a draft copy of the report for discussion before the final sign-off.  Councillor Purvis as chair introduced the report and summarised the panels' recommendations and the budget and policy implications of these.  The review had evolved from the initial starting point and it had been important to focus on making recommendations to Cabinet which would be useful and able to be implemented. The panel had no further amendments or comments to make to the report and were happy for this to be signed off by the chair.

Councillor Purvis advised that the panel's report and the Head of Education's response report would be considered by Cabinet at their meeting on 7 July 2014.  Councillor Purvis confirmed he was available to present the report.

Councillor Purvis as chair thanked panel members for their contributions to the review.  The panel thanked officers for their help towards the review and particular thanks was given to the Local Democracy Officer for her help towards compiling the report.

RESOLVED that the panel official sign-off their report for submission to Cabinet on 7 July 2014.
