Minutes:

Councillor Hastings, as Chair, wished to thank Mr Brown, a member of the public, for pointing out an error at paragraph 5.4.8 regarding the establishment of an arms-length company which had not in fact been set up (although this had been the intention at the time of the presentation).  Therefore the last sentence of paragraph 5.4.8 would be deleted from the final report which would then be submitted to Cabinet.

Claire Upton-Brown, Assistant Director of Culture & City Development, reported that Chris Cooper was still offering to co-ordinate a visit to Bristol, with a number of other local authorities, which would be helpful in establishing a local network approach in pursuing Smart Cities initiatives. The panel members supported this approach and felt that Smart Cities advances were crucial to the regeneration and future design of Portsmouth.

RESOLVED that the report 'Smart Cities: Making Portsmouth a Smarter, More Sustainable, City" be signed off (subject to minor amendment) for onward submission to the Cabinet.
