Purpose of report

To inform the Cabinet Member of the wide range of informal learning opportunities currently coordinated by the Library and Archive Service's Access and Learning Librarian.

The report was introduced by Jacqueline Garrard, Access and Learning Librarian.  With regard to the case studies, Councillor Morgan asked if these could be used to promote the service and Jacqueline said that they would be included in the promotional literature.  Councillor Hunt said that the number of housebound readers would increase as the population gets older, so this service was vital.

Councillor Symes noted the report.
